When is shipping free?

Orders within the Netherlands are shipped for free on total amounts of €59 and up. For orders below that, the shipping costs are €3.95.

When will my order be shipped?

If you order before 1:00 PM, your order will be shipped the same day.
How do returns work?

You can return a product within 14 days (provided it is unopened/undamaged). For tea returns, the seal must not have been opened for hygiene and food safety reasons.

What should I do in case of an incorrect product or a quality issue?

Please contact The Matcha Man as soon as possible (via email or phone). Incorrectly delivered products will be exchanged free of charge. For complaints regarding quality: please keep the packaging and batch number — these will be requested during the handling process.
What is the difference between ceremonial, premium, and culinary matcha?
  • Ceremonial matcha is of the highest quality — finely ground, bright green, and intended to be drunk pure.

  • Premium matcha is suitable for daily use, for example in lattes; slightly less refined but still of good quality.

  • Culinary matcha is intended for cooking or baking — slightly coarser, and with bitter flavors that pair well with other ingredients.
Where does the matcha you sell come from?

The Matcha Man's matcha comes from Japan (including from the famous Uji region), which contributes to its quality and traditional origin.

Is your Matcha organic?

Transparency regarding certification and origin

Our matcha is carefully selected in Japan, primarily from the Uji region, and comes from producers who operate according to the Japanese JAS organic standard.

The import and processing of this matcha take place via a partner in the Netherlands that is SKAL-certified.

The Matcha Man is not currently SKAL-certified itself. Therefore, under applicable European regulations, we are not permitted to offer, label, or sell our products as 'organic'.

For that reason, we do not carry an organic certification mark and do not make official organic claims regarding our products.

We consciously choose full transparency towards our customers and focus on providing high-quality, authentic Japanese matcha with a focus on quality, origin, and taste experience.
When will I receive my order?

We will ship your order as soon as possible. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with more information. Delivery times depend on your location.
Why is matcha considered healthier than "regular" green tea?
