What should I do if I receive the wrong product or have a quality problem?

Please contact The Matcha Man as soon as possible (by email or phone). If you received an incorrect product, we will exchange it free of charge. For quality complaints, please keep the packaging and batch number—they will be requested during checkout.

What is the difference between ceremonial, premium, and culinary matcha?
  • Ceremonial matcha is of the highest quality—finely ground, bright green, and meant to be drunk neat.

  • Premium matcha is suitable for everyday use, for example in lattes; slightly less refined but still of good quality.

  • Culinary matcha is meant for cooking or baking — a little coarser, and with bitter flavors that pair well with other ingredients.
Where does the matcha you sell come from?

The Matcha Man's matcha comes from Japan (including the famous Uji region), which contributes to its quality and traditional origin.

Frequently Asked Questions about Matcha & Health

Why is matcha considered healthier than “normal” green tea?

With matcha, you drink the entire tea leaf—not just a brew. This ensures you get all the nutrients: antioxidants, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals.

What are the main health benefits of matcha?

Matcha is packed with antioxidants, which can help fight free radicals in your body—contributing to improved immunity and slowing cell aging. Matcha also contributes to improved focus and alertness thanks to the combination of caffeine and the amino acid L-theanine.

Can matcha help with relaxation or stress reduction?

Yes. Thanks to the presence of L-theanine, matcha can have a calming effect and help with stress and calm — without the "crash" you sometimes get with coffee.

Does matcha help with weight management or weight loss?

Some studies suggest that matcha may boost metabolism and promote fat burning, which could aid weight management — especially when combined with a healthy lifestyle.

Is matcha good for skin and energy?

Yes — the antioxidants in matcha can help protect your cells, which can indirectly contribute to healthier skin. Matcha can also provide a long-lasting energy boost and mental clarity.

Do I need to take anything into account or are there any limitations?

While matcha has many benefits, it should be considered a supplement to a healthy lifestyle—not a miracle cure. Those sensitive to caffeine or with certain medical conditions should monitor their consumption or consult a doctor.
