For the ultimate matcha experience, prepare your matcha the Japanese way: with the right dosage, creamy frothed foam, and, of course, the best quality matcha. To make this possible, The Matcha Man has put together this matcha set.
Matcha is healthy and has been drunk since ancient times. Tea originally comes from South-East Asia. All tea comes from the same tea plant (Camellia Sinensis). The way it is processed and prepared determines which type of tea it eventually becomes.
The combo deal contains the following:
- Bamboo matcha whisk to froth the matcha
- Bamboo scoop for measuring
- Tin (30 grams) of ceremonial grade matcha (Ceremonial Top Grade, from Uji)
Bamboo matcha whisk
This original Japanese whisk is indispensable for the perfect layer of foam on your matcha. It is handmade from a single piece of bamboo and split into fine tines. The more tines the whisk has, the finer the foam. Basic matcha whisks have 80 tines; The Matcha Man's version has no fewer than 100, for a silky-smooth result.
To ensure the whisk stays in shape and lasts longer, it is best to place it on a whisk holder!
Bamboo scoop
The Japanese matcha bamboo scoop, also known as a ‘chashaku’, is the traditional way to accurately measure matcha. You use this scoop in combination with a whisk and a matcha bowl.
Ceremonial Top Grade Matcha
This ceremonial grade matcha is of exceptional class. Made from the first harvest in the spring, with a bright green color and a soft, slightly sweet umami flavor and fine layer of foam. A pure matcha that is drunk for the best taste experience.
- Packaged in Japan immediately after the production process
- Shelf life of 1-2 years unopened
Origin: the matcha comes from Uji, where the tea plantation has been producing matcha in an authentic way for over 300 years. Ceremonial matcha is drunk pure for the best taste experience.
Matcha fits into a healthy lifestyle!
The better the quality, the higher the content of antioxidants, amino acids, and other nutrients. With matcha, you drink the whole leaf, meaning you ingest many more beneficial substances than with regular green tea.
Matcha contains a quarter less caffeine than coffee, but provides steady energy for up to 6 hours due to its slow release. This makes matcha and intermittent fasting a great combination.

Matcha from The Matcha Man consists of 100% matcha without any outside additives.
Preparation of matcha
- Fill the bowl halfway with hot water and place the bamboo whisk in it so that it becomes supple. The bowl warms up immediately, which keeps your matcha warm for longer. After 1 minute, empty the bowl and dry it well.
- Use a bamboo scoop to add the right amount of matcha to the bowl and create a smooth paste with a little water and the whisk.
- Top up the bowl with 60–90 ml of water at a maximum temperature of 80°C.
- Then make W-movements with the whisk, from your wrist, without touching the sides or bottom. Stop when a fine, creamy layer of foam forms. The fewer the bubbles, the better it has turned out.
